Wearable Art:
A Runway Collection
Renaissance, but Make It Y2K is a fashion photo series that reimagines classical art through the lens of early-2000s attitude. Styled by Brianna Yrene Ramirez for a runway by Picture Perfect, the project transforms everyday materials into dramatic, painterly looks—corsets with edge, draped fabrics like armor, and silhouettes that feel pulled from a Renaissance painting but exist firmly in the Y2K era. Scarves become sashes, pillowcases become shirts, and a shower curtain becomes a cape, proving that fashion is less about what you buy and more about what you imagine. Built collaboratively with the models using pieces they already owned, the series celebrates creativity, rebellion, and the idea that anything can become fashion when worn with intention.
